How to start the new year strong by setting goals

First of all we want to tell you all "Happy birthday!" and that we are happy to have you with us in 2018. And because every new beginning brings new opportunities, in this article we thought we would share with you our New Year's Eve ritual.

WHAT DOES THE PASSAGE BETWEEN YEARS MEAN FOR US?

For us, the passage of years represents a moment of retrospect in which we analyze how the year that is just ending unfolded. We take a look at the moments of balance, but also the successful ones, at the opportunities we have taken advantage of and those that simply passed us by, and last but not least, we analyze the goals we set and how many of them we managed to achieve.

The year 2017 was a rather complicated year for us. A year in which we tried to fill in the missing details about what INNOVATION MKT&IT means and a year in which I made mistakes, from which I learned somethingYes!!… we made mistakes and we are happy to admit it. But, 2018 will definitely be a better year. You're welcome.

GOAL SETTING, THE FIRST STEP IN 2018

As I said at the beginning of the article, in every passing year, we have our own ritual. This "ritual" takes into account making a list of objectives, both personal and business.  So, on the last night of the year, we take the old list and check off the goals we've achieved (the most satisfying part of the ritual) and rewrite a new one for the coming year. We analyze the unachieved goals and try to see what we could have done better to achieve them.

WHY SHOULD YOU ADOPT THIS RITUAL?

Setting goals at the beginning of the year is not only a nice way to start your year, but it is a essential process through which you will be able to devise a plan for how you will focus your attention and resources. Studies show that Successful people always have clear goals. on which they focus their activities every day, being more motivated and confident in their own strengths.

We are convinced that each of you has some clearly established goals in your mind, but studies also show that Goals written down on paper are 10 times easier to achieve.. Write down your goals and you will make a commitment. At the same time, this written list will help you plan the steps that need to be taken much more easily.

Don't forget... Goals, whether personal or business, must be SMART!!!

  1. Specific: to clearly express what you propose without leaving room for interpretations.

  2. Minsurable: to present qualitative or quantitative aspects that can be measured with units of measurement.

  3. affordable: can be accomplished using the capabilities and resources you have.

  4. Relevant: to match your vision and the values you believe in.

  5. Temporal: to fit within a certain well-established time.

Now, take a piece of paper, write down your goals, and do everything you can to achieve them. Next year, we expect you to share as many successes as possible with us!
